Once more, I fear the spring’s embrace,
For snow conceals my broken space.
I whisper softly, “One more day,
No one will see how far skies stray.”
For just a moment, snow takes hold,
Its purity, an angel told.
And apple trees will bloom again,
With madness in their sweet refrain.
My cheeks will burn with fire’s glow,
Desires rising, bold and bold.
For more than life could ever bring,
For more than time itself can sing.
Yet all I know, and hold so dear,
Is you, and snow, and love sincere.
Once more, I fear, and wrap up tight,
To guard my soul from words and sight.
But deep inside, where gardens gleam,
I’m but a bird within your dream.
A bird that soared to where you stand,
And softly perched upon your hand.
Now snowflakes fall, so soft, so true,
And life no longer feels askew
